Brushing Your Teeth
So as you know, they say that the water swirls the “wrong way” in the toilet down here south of the equator. Likewise, I would like to describe to you how I brush my teeth down here. It’s a little weird how this stuff works, it really is.
So, down here in Brazil, I take my toothbrush in my left hand, and then with my right, I take the toothpaste and squeeze a little dollop onto my toothbrush. So then with my left index and ring fingers, and my left thumb, I take the toothbrush and start to brush the teeth in the left side of my mouth. I like to start on the front of the teeth and then flip around to the back side of the teeth (with the toothbrush) and brush very carefully in a down and up motion to make sure I get everything clean.
But first before all that, I take my floss, and start flossing on the left side of my mouth and work toward the right. Then once I’m done with that, then I smile with satisfaction from a job well done. Well, I don’t actually smile after brushing my teeth, it’s more of a grimace if anything.
I do the same thing north of the equator too.
